Hogarth, William (1697 London 1764). Ticket of the London Hospital. Christ and the disciples, the first pointing at the supposedly only symbolically depicted hospital. At its entrance two carried stretchers with sick are expected. Engraving by Thomas Cook (c. 1744 – London 1818). Inscribed: Hogarth pinxt. / T. Cook sculp. / Published by Longman, Hurst, Rees & Orme, Aug. 1st. 1809. Image size 12.4 x 16.9 cm. – The scenery of the lower margin of "The Pool of Bethesda". – Trimmed within the wide white platemark.
